An EPIC Exchange Program

The Transatlantic Energy-Research Experience (TE-REx) program began in 2014, when the first students from UNC Charlotte were sent to the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology for the summer. Every year the program has grown and it now includes students from KIT participating in a six-month exchange. Not only are students benefitting from the experience but faculty and industry are benefitting from working with these talented students.

UNC Charlotte students are selected to travel for 12 weeks in the summer (May-August) to the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). This opportunity is open to Undergraduate Early Entry MS or Graduate (MS/Ph.D.) students. This program is fully funded and accepted applicants will receive a travel and research stipend.
