
Biography
Joining EPIC in 2022 as Assistant Director of Economic & Workforce Development, Carolyn serves as Chief Engagement Officer for EPIC’s NSF Clean Carolinas program. Her long-held belief in the need to support diversity and inclusion in the engineering and energy sectors has helped define her focus on clean energy workforce development. A successful entrepreneur, Carolyn co-founded The EcoLogic Studio in 2008, a consultancy providing LEED certification and energy services to public and private sector clients throughout the western US, including major ground-up healthcare facilities and multiple projects for the Navy and Marines. She has served on the boards of the USGBC San Diego, the Society of American Military Engineers, and the Port of San Diego Embarcadero Redevelopment Task Force. This fall Carolyn will join the prestigious Leadership NC program. Holding degrees from the Design Institute of San Diego and the University of Colorado, Carolyn is a LEED Accredited Professional with a specialty in Building Design and Construction.
